There are some very active people in our communities who are prepared, willing and able to take up the many opportunities that are already available to “have their say”. However, we know that we can do more to ensure we hear the voices of individuals who do not, or cannot, easily tell us what matters to them.
To support this, NHS Gloucestershire’s patient and public engagement team is recruiting a group of 1000 local residents to join a People’s Panel to help shape health and care services and support in Gloucestershire. The types of subjects the Panel might be invited to comment on range from experience of GP surgeries, healthy lifestyles, support and activities in your community to specialist hospital services. It is hoped that people will be an active Panel member for up to two years, participating in up to four surveys a year.
