I was born in Cumbria but trained at Guys Hospital, London where I met my wife Alison, who works locally as a cardiology nurse specialist. I help guide the practice through the ever-changing NHS business environment as well as carrying out my clinical role. I live in Churchdown and both my now grown up children attended the local schools. I am a keen supporter of the Cheltenham Festivals of which my wife and I are both Patrons but also enjoy the local horse racing.

I qualified from UCL in 1983 and I am married to Dr Lesley Macmorland who works at Churchdown Surgery also. Together we have 3 children. Having worked in many practices as a locum in Glos, Worcestershire and Wiltshire, Churchdown has the best atmosphere, a great mix of Partners and staff. It is getting better all the time, and there is never a dull moment.

I am married to Tim Macmorland and work part time in the practice. I qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1982 and then did a variety of hospital jobs including anaesthetics and GP training posts. I had a 10 year career break to look after our 3 children, and returned to work once they were all at school, initially doing anaesthetics, and then police work and GP locums. I love being a part of this lovely supportive practice and being able to provide continuity of patient care as a partner now.

I grew up in Worcestershire then trained in Liverpool. After qualifying in 2001, I worked in hospital medicine in Birmingham for 3 years prior to returning to Worcester to train as a GP. After 5 years working as a part time salaried GP (and running around after my 2 small children) I joined Churchdown Surgery in 2015 as a Partner. I am leading on then collaborative working with other practices and I am also enjoying working on the new build which will provide much needed space to develop new services. I love the practice ethos and am keen to keep this in the new premises. Outside of the surgery I enjoy spending time with my young family, music and gardening.
